Bike week on the Colorado River is always something to see and experience. For over 25 years, motorcyclists have been cruising to the river for this giant bike event. The weather is always perfect for riding. Warm but not yet scorching, blue skies and wide open highways bring thousands of bikers each year. Bike week is certainly a highlight for those of us making the desert our home.

This year bike week is April 25-29th and already there is buzz about the events that will take place. ZZ Top and the Fabulous Thunderbirds will be in concert. There will be Charity Poker Run on Friday that leaves the Ramada at 10 am. You can buy an events pass that includes a chance to win a 2007 Harley Davidson FXST Deuce. The pass also includes a souvenir pin, bandanna, coupon book, Official Program, admittance to the Poker Run and the Custom Bike Show.

The Custom Bike Show, on April 28th, is calling all "Bad Ass" Rides to compete for Best of Show - the winner will receive $2500 Cash!

There will be plenty to keep you busy and when you are bored with bikes there is always the Laughlin Casinos. Bike week is the biggest time of year for the casinos here and you can bet they are up for the challenge. Book your room early if you want to stay on the river.
